... and I am that person who spent her summer days as a young girl obsessing over E! News, TRL and any daytime talk show that featured a sassy host. I thought Ashanti, Kimora Lee Simons, and gaucho pants were, as I once said, “way tight.”

 

So, it’s no surprise that I spent my time at TCU studying media representations and how they affect the way a society works. More to the point, my capstone project focused on the media representations of African-American women. Some nascent connection must have drawn me to that topic.

 

Now I want to start making my own influence on media. I aspire to have a career that will allow me to be involved in creating and proofing media representations. It’s my new obsession.
